Podium Education gives college students the ability to learn career relevant digital skills in a for-credit certificate, while they complete their primary degree program.
After two years of work they had built a world-class product, hired an industry-leading team, but still needed a marketing strategy to acquire new students.
The key question that needed to be answered was: How can you convince college students to take extra coursework that will benefit them in the long-run?
We began the process by interviewing dozens of college students to test a series of key messages through surveys and social media ads. To prime student’s motivations we ran a series of Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat Ads to generate interest and then lead them through strategically produced content and a custom branded web experience for each major.
The marketing strategy sold out Podium’s first class and they scaled the program to hundreds of students at over a dozen universities in their first year of operation. In late 2020 they raised $12 million in venture funding from leading venture capitalists to continue to design and launch new programs for students around the world.
